With 2013 in full swing, Chinese pianist Yundi looks ahead to a landmark 15-city world tour, performing at leading venues across Europe, Russia, and the Middle East from March 18 to May 14. While on tour this spring, Yundi will perform a musical program that showcases the music of his latest album for Deutsche Grammophon, a collection of Beethoven's most Romantic sonatas slated for European and international release beginning March 22. Yundi's musical program will also include signature interpretations of works by Chopin.
The Chinese pianist kicks off his tour in the German town of Göppingen (March 18) before making stops in Frankfurt (March 22), Munich (April 14), Paris (April 15), London (April 18), Liverpool (April 19), Moscow (April 22), Klavier Festival Ruhr (April 24), Strasbourg (April 28), Mulheim (May 5), Palermo (May 7), Ravello (May 11), and Berlin (May 14). This year's spring performances also see Yundi's debut at the Abu Dhabi Festival (March 24) and his return to the Gewandhaus zu Leipzig (May 3).
